china swimming association is pleased to invite you to participate in the fina 10 km marathon swimming world cup which is to be held on saturday 12th october 2015, in qiandao lake, chun’an county, hangzhou city, china.
training days for this event will start from 09th october 2015 to the start of the competition, please find below the detailed information related to this event.

venue
chun’an county is located in the west of zhejiang province, the upstream of qiantang river, located in north latitude 29°11′- 30°02′, east longitude 118°20′- 119°20′. all 96.8 kilometres long and 94.4 kilometres wide, covers an area of 4427 square kilometres. chun’an is the largest county of zhejiang province by accounting for 4.35% of the total area of it, and 151 kilometres away from hangzhou city. it belongs to subtropical monsoon climate which has four distinct seasons; the weather is warm, wet, and with plentiful rainfall that the annual average temperature is 17°c and the average annual rainfall is 1430mm.
chun’an is the place where the famous qiandao lake located in, with exquisite sceneries. qiandao lake is an artificial lake which is formed by the water from the reservoir of xin’an river hydropower station, covers an area of 573 square kilometres; totally have 1078 islands of all sizes and the total amount of water storage capacity is equivalent to 3000 times of the west lake’s. she has not only the great momentum like the tai lake, but also the artistic conception like the west lake. she has been awarded the national aaaaa tourist attraction, the nationally designated eco-demonstration region, as well as the nations in bloom which by reason of its magnificent mountains, limpid water of lake, and unique beautiful sceneries.
entry information
registration will only be accepted for swimmers who belong to the clubs and associations that are in membership on the national federation affiliated to fina.
entry forms will be accepted only with the national federation’s approval.
provisional entries closing date: 21st august 2015
final entries closing date: 1st september 2015
transportation
it will take approximately two and a half hours from xiaoshan airport to the competition area of qiandao lake, chun’an.
transport will be provided free of charge for all swimmers and officials as follows:
from/to xiaoshan airport, and from/to the competition area of qiandao lake, chun’an. we regret that we are unable to provide free transport from/to other places.
return transport between the official hotel (hotel: holiday inn hangzhou qiandao lake add: no.1, kaifa road, qiandao lake town. tel: +86-0571-64880888) and the competition area.
it takes about 5 minutes from the official hotel to the training venue.
accommodation
double room (full board): $140/per person/per day
single room (full board): $180/per person/per day
free board and lodging shall be provided for the invited fina officials from 8th october to 12th october.
extra days will be charged for a rate of $140 per person per day for double room ($180 per night for single room). (same rates apply equally to the athletes)
free board and lodging from 8th october to 12th october (5 days and 5 nights) should be provided to the participants that fulfil with the following standards,:
the first 5 men and the first 5 women classified in the 10km competitions at the previous year’s fina world championships / fina open water swimming world championships and, if applicable, the previous year’s olympic games
the first 5 men and the first 5 women classified from the previous year’s series
at least one male and one female swimmer from each of the hmf’s of the series.
up to 20 male/female additional swimmers. in this number shall be included a minimum of 1 swimmer per federation and 1 appointed representative per participating federation (total 40 people: 20 male/female swimmers and 20 representatives).
remarks: organizing committee will make a unified arrangement regarding to the board and lodging for the persons mentioned above.
rules and regulations
the event will be conducted in accordance with fina marathon swimming world cup rules (2015-2017) and regulations and fina open water swimming rules (2015-2017).
doping control tests will be conducted
organizing committee will not provide sustenance for swimmers during the period of the competition.
swimmers must refer the liability declaration to competition committee.
prize-money distribution
total prize money is $20,000:
the total prize money is to be equally distributed between men and women.
