去年暑假，我和爸爸妈妈一起去了祖国的首都——北京。用了一天的时间游了我国著名的故宫博物院。故宫是我很想去的地方，那里有很多珍贵的文物和艺术建筑，是人们向往的地方！

故宫是一座历史悠久的宫殿，位于北京市的中心，旧称紫禁城，是明、清两代的皇宫，无与伦比的古代建筑杰作，世界现存最大、最完整的古建筑群。

天安门是紫禁城的正门。一进到天安门里，我立刻被震撼了，这紫禁城真的是很有气势呢，面积有72万平方米，为世界之最。

我们首先来到了太和殿，俗称金銮殿，为故宫三大殿之首，建在五米高的汉白玉基台上，基台四周矗立着雕龙石柱，大殿正中两米高的台子上是金漆雕龙宝座，就是过去皇帝坐的龙椅，是至高无上的宝座。门口挤满了人，向殿内仔细张望。再往前走是中和殿，是故宫“三大殿”之一，是一座方形殿，黄色琉璃瓦的房顶在正午的阳光下显得格外耀眼。接着我们又来到了交泰殿。是明清时为皇后举办寿庆的地方。现在交泰殿里放了好多印章，应该叫玉玺，是至高无上权力的象征。还有乾清宫，上有著名的“正大光明”匾，四个大字写得刚劲有力。

昔日皇家的私藏，今日在这里供来自世界各地的朋友参观。当我们走到慈禧太后的院落时，都赞叹不已，真正的金枝玉叶——-金子做的枝叶，碧玉做的花朵太奢侈了、太昂贵了我一直嘟囔说：“给我一盆该多好呀！”

故宫里最好看的要数钟表馆和珍宝馆了。钟表馆设在奉先殿，里面有许多形状各异的钟表。有镀金的，硬木雕花楼的，镶嵌珐琅的。有的是中国古典的亭台楼阁式的，有的是古代传说，有一个群仙祝寿钟，寿星和八仙会循环从门内出来，精巧极了。有的钟有上中下三层，每一层人物都会转动非常好看。还有外国进贡的。有一个铜镀金写字人钟，里面的小人会写“八方向化，九土来王”八个汉字，出神入化。还有一个金象拉战车钟，是一只健硕的大象拉着四轮战车。战车及象背上共有官兵十一人，象身及车身上嵌有彩色料石，象的眼睛能转动，鼻子、尾巴能摆动，象肚子底下有一个轮子，战车前部的圆筒上放置有鼓、号及兵器，还能奏乐呢。神奇的钟表数不胜数！

珍宝馆里更是珍藏了许多顶级的奇珍异宝。有金嵌珠立佛、金宗喀巴像、金累丝嵌松石坛城，有镶满珠宝的朝冠、凤冠，有晶莹剔透的水晶杯、水晶球，有各种材质的鼻烟壶，酒杯，还有各种宝石做的耳环、吊坠等等，看得我眼花缭乱，外加直流口水，每一件都做工精美，价值连城啊。

下午，我们去看了九龙壁，九条生龙活虎的中国龙，每一个都是不同的颜色，不同的姿态，就是画龙点睛之笔，加上鬼斧神工的雕刻艺术，创造了这一个中国的象征。

新的世纪，故宫博物院又焕发出新的生机。百年来对紫禁城的最大修缮工程正使它重现盛世风华。是啊！墙面、砖瓦，都被刷新了一遍，看起来更具有现代与古代的结合风。

不知不觉夕阳快下山了，我也累的筋疲力尽了，只是这宏伟的建筑使我意犹未尽，久久地回荡在我的心间。

晚上，我和妈妈、爸爸一起登上了去北京的飞机。

我看到了美丽的夜景。

不到一会儿，飞机上的宵夜来了，我连忙拿起来，大口大口地吃。一会儿，就吃完了。两小时过去了，终于到达了北京。

第二天，我们来到了八达岭长城。爸爸匆匆忙忙地去买了票，然后我们就迫不及待地登上了长城。我爬了几层，抬头望去，眼前是没有尽头的曲折、狭窄、陡峭的台阶，万里长城就像一条灰色的巨龙。爸爸曾经告诉我：长城是中华民族的伟大象征，不到长城非好汉！所以我努力地爬到了最高峰，心里非常兴奋和激动。我终于登上长城啦！

第三天，我们来到了天安门，看见了天安门城楼和故宫，还有人名大会堂。这些都和家乡的建筑很不一样。

北京真是太好玩了。
